The project captures the future imaginations of Gen Z around socializing technologies - social media. The project explores these wider narratives not governed by the “Big Tech Platforms" and co-imagines future scenarios and stories around the hidden forces that the social media of today works on. These include algorithms, privacy, trends, surveillance, synthetic portrayals - which guide the social media access and usage.

The project aims to design tools to capture patterns in expressions around - concerns, desires and fears for the social media of tomorrow.







The project concluded with 3 main outcomes:


1. “Viral Vibes: Remixing Future Social Media Narratives”- An open access co-design toolkit

2. Report of the Divergent Future themes through workshops with - IIT Delhi, CEPT, NID, Ahmedabad
and YLAC, Delhi.

3. An Instagram page with a live documentation of the artefacts - @viral_vibz_
