Activities for
Socio-Ecological
Equity
“How far will you go with your money, you’ll die with earth in your grave and not with your money.”
The team was guided by the provocation - In our future world what if we reconsidered sociological and ecological equity? The team conceptualised a future 20-30 years from now where people gave more importance to the various social and ecological aspects of equity in capital and not just the monetary gains.
“We chose the symbol is also of a child, the purist human form, where the kids minds are malleable to inculcate and make fresh ideas and perspectives by just observing. We have natural elements (shell, wave, bulbasaur bird feathers) but we also have human elements in the artefact thus referring to a space that cultivates dialogue between human ingenuity and nature.”
In this speculative practice, a day in a week the students engage in activities around ecology, society - hands-on ingteractions and experiments rather than just theoretical knowledge. Nature games and visits are conducted with families and there are sharing sessions where the kids share what they learnt in their visits. The students share these through multimedia formats (plays, music, dance, theatre, art…)

The Shared
City Matrix
“In today’s times we have become too Individualitic, this rises also because of a lack of knowing where we stand, the role that we individually play and how that adds to the bigger picture”
The team speculated a social device - a tool to collectively map elements which drive decisions and lead to varied future possibilities. As one of the team members describes it as “the matrix that makes the invisible links visible.” The device could only be accessed in a communal setting, where all contributing members get equal say to push for their opinions and perspectives. The technology would be radfically democratic and have strict privacy regulations and security based on biomarkers.
The local neighbourhood would practice communal rituals practiced through this social, rituals where the citizens come together and observe, decode patterns of interconnections, what emerges collectively?

Speulative Worldbuilding
September 2026
The workshop based in experiential participatory futures created a space for participants from different disciplines ( science, public policy, urban design, design and research ) to collectively ask - What would be future ways of practicing/ performing collective practices? What objects or paraphernalia would these use?
Drawing from today’s signals like political climate, technological shifts and social alignments, participants co-created hands on prototypes of artefacts belonging to these future practices. As they built these tangible objects, it created a space to practice collective intelligence and shift societal norms.
